LIST OF POTENTIAL WASTE DISPOSAL SITES - NOVEMBER 2007
Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council have put together a plan- The Derby and Derbyshire Waste Sites Development Proposal - to identify locations to recycle, reuse or treat rubbish in
the future.
The consulation on a list of 66 preferred sites for development has now ended. Below is my letter to the council regarding sites within my constituency.
 This letter makes reference to different types of uses which have all been given numbers by the council. Here is the key:
Use 1: windrow composting (open air)
Use 2: in-vessel composting (indoors,enclosed)
Use 3: anaerobic digestion
Use 4: mechanical biological treatment
Use 5a: waste separation and recycling facilities (small)
Use 5b: waste separation and recycling facilities (large)
Use 6: waste transfer station
Use 7: incineration
Use 8: prylosyis
Use 9: gasification
Use 10: household waste recycling centre
Use 11: aggregates recycling plant
